Rover Adventurer

Introduction

Hello everyone my name is Addon A. Mathew, I am 11 years old and I am in Grade 5. Today I am going to tell  you about my rover called Adventurer.

Front view of rover ‘’Adventurer’’

Structure

This rover has aluminum coating and other coating layers  that protects it from micrometeors and it has a ripple shield just like that of a satellite.

Movement

The movement uses a steering wheel and a gear system  that allows the rover to go fast at a maximum speed of  21 kph or slowly at 6 kph.

Seats

The seats are very comfortable for human missions and  are made with cotton, wool, etc. and for plain robotic  rover missions the seats are covered with titanium that  protects the rover further.

Moon quake

For moon quakes a highly accurate satellite dish can  measure a very tiny tremor to a range of 500 to 900 km  away and activates the springs and shock absorber.

Meteor tracker

This same satellite dish along with a distance tracker  gives all the different details about it such as what type it  is, what material it was made of, the speed of the  meteoroid, etc.

The drill

The drill is made with a very thin layer of titanium along  with layers of alminium, and also the drill has mylar insulation that helps to withstand temperatures up to  1,500 C.

Camera

This camera is highly sensitive and is used to  capture the different and spectacular formations on  the Moon and can also be used to measure the  pressure.

Power and sunshield

The solar panel on the rover is coated with silicon and  can be used as a sunshield to reflect sunlight which

cannot be absorbed and the sunlight that can be  absorbed will be used to power the 5000v rover and the  energy is stored in back solar batteries.

Thermal insulation

The rover has a lot of layers of mylar layers as  temperature monitor that blinks red when it is too hot  and blinks blue when it becomes cold and so in this way  it can measure and withstand the temperature from 105  C to -150 C.

Wheels

The rover is equipped with 6 very tough wheels that are  able to withstand very tiny and sharp rocks very easily  and have extendable legs to drive on low or uneven  grounds and the wheels make no rattling to the other  parts which makes it comfortable for humans.

Computer

The computer is the brain of the rover that analyses and  executes the commands given by the monitoring mission  control on robotic missions and also missions where the  humans directly command it using buttons.

Telemetry system

The last system of the rover is the telemetry system for  robotic missions, the rover’s main satellite dish sends  messages to the lander which sends the same message  to the orbiter which sends the messages to Earth. This  satellite dish is very powerful and is capable of sending  long distance messages.

Conclusion

This is my rover called ‘’Adventurer’’. Thank you for  reading.
