Project description

This moonbase contains the necessities of a long term settlement for astronauts. An ELT telescope is located in the middle of the shackleton crater to observe nearby planets and to explore other stars. As food and water are vital things that are necessary for long periods of time the astronauts will be on the moon. Since the Shackleton Crater contains a large supply of water, as soon as the astronauts land, robots will mine the water and put it in a large tank that can last for months without being refueled. 2 greenhouses have enough food to feed 6 astronauts, and would last about 1 year before replanting is necessary. Stress would most likely occur, after staying on the moon for too long so a large tv with movies and games are provided to help relax astronauts on their breaks. Power is provided by solar panels inspired by sunflowers. They follow the sun in order to get all the energy they can get as possible. As safety is key, spacex would provide a rocket capable of carrying all astronauts back to Earth in record time if anything unexpectedly occurs. As well it also has a rover outside in case of a necessary rescue operation, scientific research etc. Overall this Moon Base is capable of safely housing 6 astronauts, comfortably and safely for a long period of time.
