Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

The usa lunar base on the surface has a greenhouse, a communications room, a mining area, two landing and launch areas, solar panels and an elevator to the basement. Underground “so far” we have a zone for facts and a laboratory. 
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Why did you choose this location?

Because it facilitates communication but has more chances of falling meteors in these areas.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

I plan to make a medium-sized base made of titanium, metal, carbon and strong glass.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

Laboratory – we will bring from earth some liters of water that is used, recycle and purify.

Green house – will produce vegetables, fruits, algae and insects.

We collect solar energy with solar panels. The energy collected passes through a cable to an inverter. It converts the raw heat into electricity.

Green house – The plants from Green house take CO2 and give O2.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Wake up, eat, do space tasks like mineral exploration, maintenance of the bases, playing games and watering the greenhouse plants , and sleep.
