Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

My moon camp project is a rover. This rover will help astronauts find anything they want.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

On the Far side of the Moon

Why did you choose this location?

I choose this location because if astronauts don’t want to go that far they can use my rover.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

I used half a cylinder for the body of the rover. Then I used gears for the wheels. Next I used a crystal for the pole part of the solar panel/camera. After that I used lozenge for the motor and the rope cutter for a handle. And last but not least I used a matrix for the solar panel/camera.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

My rover can’t help with water.

My rover can’t help with food.

This rover has a battery inside it that you don’t have to change for up to 5 years. (Not like a double A battery)

My rover has a handle on the outside of it that you can pull and open a compartment. The compartment holds an oxygen tank in case of emergencies.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

A day on the moon for astronauts with my rover would be a lot easier. The astronauts could wake up go straight to their job. Then if they need to do some research on the moon they could use my rover. And they would be able to find anything they wanted with the rover. Not the closest restaurant to the moon but you know what I mean.
