Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Our moon camp has many fun things and also things necessary for survival in it.
Among the necessary things are: A bedroom, a kitchen, farms and water machines.
And among the fun and entertainment we have a cinema, a video game room, a music room … Just say that it is a very comfortable moon camp.

Why did you choose this location?

One of the reasons why we have chosen this area is due to the simple fact that during the lunar period, the right part of the moon is the one that is illuminated for the longest time, unlike the southern hemisphere, and therefore, the temperature is greater and more favorable to life during the time of accommodation.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

We, to build the lunar camp, had an idea, and it was to make a lunar base so that human people could live there, so we would have to put an oxygen dome to that base to be able to breathe there. We all started to do it and organized ourselves by making several parts each, one made the kitchen, video game room, another water store and a cinema … so until we had everything. Two weeks passed and we already had everything, we only had to unite all the rooms and turn it into the lunar base. So we did it and dome it so we could breathe in space. The materials we have used have been carbon fiber tubes, like the one used in Formula 1 cars, joined by aluminum segments, ending at both ends in ‘hands’ or metallic effectors. There is also the Canadarm2, which is a robotic arm built by the Canadian space organization.


We have obtained water thanks to the H2O machine that we have built. Water is essential to hydrate ourselves and for the crops of the crops.

We obtain food thanks to the harvests of the farms. We grow: tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce …

We have solar panels everywhere.

We get air thanks to the dome that we have built. The construction of the dome is essential

We are protected by the dome as it protects us from ultraviolet radiation and allows oxygen to be inside it, which is essential for breathing.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

I get up and the first thing I do is get dressed and go to the kitchen for breakfast. Once I have breakfast, we are going to take food from the garden and from the animals. Then we go to have lunch. Then we have our free time doing sports, listening to music, playing video games or watching a movie at the cinema. Then if there are any problems we go to the town hall, since there is a mayor who manages the base, problems and little else.

We also have to remove the water, which is one of the most important factors. We get the water from an invented machine that generates H2O. Throughout the day, we can relieve ourselves whenever we want since we have a bathroom. At the end of the day we prepare dinner in the kitchen and enjoy it, finally we go to the bedroom to rest for the next day.
