Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

In our moon camp we get solar panels to have energy and light, we have a reservoir with water to supply us for our daily taskswe also have plantations to feed and have oxygenwe build a house with these basic cities for four people to survive on the moon for some time, we have copulations around our house and a coupon on our plantation,  we have uv equipment .

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar equator

Why did you choose this location?

We chose this location to bring 1 source of heat.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

The materials that we are going to use are:

  • Metal/iron;
  • Tempered Glass
  • Solar panels (Aluminium Frame, Tempered Glass, Encapsulant Material, Silicon Solar cells;
  • Encapsulant materials;
  • Back Sheet;
  • Junction Box;
  • Ready-made power wires

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Today I wake up, get up and take care of my hygiene, brush my teeth, and take a shower, then I have breakfast with my colleagues, and at the same time we decide the tasks that fall to each one, today I was responsible for checking our shelter, while they went to do experiments and tests on the lunar soil and its atmosphere.

First, I check the greenhouse, the water, the plants, and collect the vegetables and fruits that are already ripe, then I visit the water tank, check that there are no leaks and that it is supplying water everywhere correctly. After checking the greenhouse and the water, I went to try to put all the garbage in the decomposer, (the decomposition is done by the peeve of the animals that transform the garbage into organic matter, this can be used in greenhouses), after all this I went to lunch, we had a lettuce and tomato salad and some mixed fruits, and the leftovers went into the decomposer, and this afternoon I was also responsible for sending some messages to the ground that everything was ok.

At the end of the day, we all had dinner together, explained to each other how our tasks went, and also having an idea of the tasks we would have to do tomorrow, after dinner already very tired, we went to rest to get ready for the next day.
