Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Our base is called Phoenix, in it there are several buildings that make it possible
life.
We decided to make the central base in the shape of a dome and use other figures to make the rest of the buildings.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

Because there is frozen water around the poles that we will use for multiple things.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

We plan to build it as if they were a series of buildings that will be accessed from the upper area

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

Using the frozen water found in the lunar soil

With a greenhouse with vegetables and fruits for food

Using a nuclear fusion reactor that will be fueled by helium3 and water from the moon

Using various oxygenators that will give oxygen to all buildings

A bunker under the main base in case of an emergency

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

The astronaut gets up, has breakfast and goes about his daily tasks. After lunch the astronaut carries out his routine maintenance on the facilities. Later he goes out to investigate and collect rocks to carry out his investigation tasks on the ground. After that, he carries out his daily exercise routine and takes a shower to finally have dinner and go to bed.
