Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022
In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description
We have 5 astronauts: a scientist, an agronomist for the greenhouse, a rover pilot to extract the scientific rocks, a rocket pilot and an engineer for energy on the base. The base is composed of 4 foldable domes : – Dome 1 is the greenhouse. – Dome 2 includes the kitchen and gym. – Dome 3 is a research room with a dormitory. – Dome 4 is the swimming pool. |

Shackleton crater Why did you choose this location?
Our base is above Shackleton Crater to benefit from an ice reserve to have water. How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?
The base will be built with polyethylene. |

To have water, we will use ice thanks to the Shackleton crater located below the base. |
At first, the food will come from Earth. Then a greenhouse will be installed. |
Several solar panels will produce the energy. |
The algae in the pool will produce oxygen. |
20 cm of polyethylene will protect the base. |

8am-9am: Meal schedule of the day. 9am-10am: Scientific research. 10am-11am: Maintenance of the base. 11am-12pm: Sport. 12pm-1pm: Meal. 1pm-4pm: Lunar outings. 4pm-5pm: Scientific research. 5pm-6pm: Earth observation. |
