Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We wanted to make our places very useful for you for your research and for your survival, we will describe our project to you in this text.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

We chose this location because it receives a lot of light for electricity and for planting.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

The equipment:

Living on the moon is indeed very dangerous, there is no gravity. In addition, there is a strong risk of having an impact with asteroids, so to get out of the building safely we have equipment very suitable for these conditions. Our equipment is made of fourteen different layers including Kevlar, Teflon and aluminum. For the problem of gravity, no problem because the outfit weighs 75 kg which is impossible to wear on earth but on the moon yes, because anybody floats.

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

We have installed an extraction system to collect the water that is placed in one of the craters. Unfortunately, the water that is on the moon is in solid form, so our heating plate system will be able to put the ice back in liquid form by heating it. This will allow both to put it on a boil to evaporate any kind of bacteria to make it drinkable.

We are going to eat food because we have brought food to dry and we have planted apples, oranges and we are growing potatoes, so with the fruits we will be able to plant other trees and others potato. In addition, they have a fridge to store more food so that it cannot rot and keep them longer.

The electricity will come from the solar panels that it will have to generate electricity
Who will generate the power supply for the whole station and the heating plates to evaporate the water to make it drinkable. In addition, it will pass electricity through all the heaters to warm the astronauts. It will also power all the computer room of the project so that the astronaut communicates with their loved one and their boss.

Since on the moon no source of oxygen can be found there, we have built greenhouses to plant trees there, which is an excellent source of co2. There is a piping system that connects the greenhouses to the centers of our establishment to take this source of oxygen there.

Our camp will be made of armored stainless plate for protection from strong winds and powerful rock collisions the edge shape ensures that the plates will not be losses in terms of lost steel for it may be useful for other construction later

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

A day for the astronauts would be in the morning to go to the computer room to see if their boss tells him what to do after he will have to cook himself to have strength after taking the truck to fetch rocks to examine them. Later go to see if all the installations are not broken and start again the next day.
