Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

My camp’s name is Lunarian because it’s on the moon. It’s built like a square because it’s the way that I cut it in the moon. My base can keep 3 astronauts inside. It has water, oxygen and vegetables. Its lowkey cheap because it doesn’t require a lot of furniture in the living room, but I really like the quality. There’re plants to produce oxygen as well. I’m proud of my moon camp. There is also a mini river for the water.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

There is a lot of craters that we can install a camp in it’s insides.  There is also a difference with the weather. There is solar light for the solar panels.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

Basically, I’ll build it into a crater, a big one in the ground. I’ll use metal for the walls so it can stay still even with all the strong weather. Ill use a heater on ice to make the water. Ill use wood to make the floor then I’ll put metal around the wood for the floor.

Protection

Well, my moon camp is going to be separated by a crystal barrier, so I guess it’ll be enough to protect my moon camp. There is a lighting rod to protect the camp in case there is a thunderstorm. If anything breaks there is going to be an astronaut that is specialized into fixing the moon camp.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

The crew wake up at 5:00 am, then they go breakfast at 5:40 with bagged juice and food. Now they need to dress up for their full day, so they are going to get ready for their day. They are supposedly done at 6:00 am. Now they’re going into the greenhouse to check their vegetables. At 12 pm they stop studying the spaces and many kinds of other stuffs and they go eat and on a pause. When they’re done, they need to make sure the camp is not broken anywhere. If it’s broken, they need to tell the specialized astronaut. When they are done, they are going to exercise in the gym room to get stronger for their adventure. When their training is over, they go to sleep, and they get rests for another full day in the moon camp.
