Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

It is a representation of a lunar base, built by a rocket a base and the surface of the lunar base

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?
Close to the lunar poles
Why did you choose this location?

The best place is the lunar poles, it places the penumbra, between the sun and the shadow.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

I would make a collection of money to be able to carry out this plan and then I would talk with other companies to be able to agree on a deal.

Use recycled and heat-resistant materials, also as cheap as possible.

I would carry it in water tanks that carry the proportional amount necessary.

The food would be frozen, dehydrated and vacuum packed, through defrosting machines and processes we would make it edible

The energy would be carried out in a part of the rocket that is in charge of giving the combustion and propulsion of the gases with kerosene or liquid hydrogen.

The air would make it breathable by means of the MOXIE which generates 5.37g/h of oxygen

The protection will be examined from Earth by means of communications. And I would take a doctor to supervise

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

I get up in gravity with little gravity, I get out of bed and prepare breakfast with others seeing the earth and talking with relatives.
At noon, I would eat the same as for breakfast again because there is not much variety.
I would do sports on the stationary bike to keep fit, and when I finish I go out with the other astronauts and take a walk while I collect samples from the surface.
Dinner arrives and this time I eat something different while I play cards with the others.
It’s time to go to bed but first I take a shower. Then I lie in bed looking out the window at the stars and our beloved Earth.
