Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Our moon camp is a self-functioning moon base that is capable of protecting, powering, feeding, and housing our astronauts. It has many innovations which keep it running. These include solar panels, strong walls, an exercising center, and many more.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Shackleton crater

Why did you choose this location?

On the bright side of the moon and in a crater, because of the solar panels on our moon camp.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

We could use plastic and metal for most of the base. Plastic is light, cheap, and durable. Metal is very durable.

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

We can use a water filter to clean the lunar water and make it drinkable.

We will use our greenhouse to make food.

Solar panels use sunlight to generate electricity

We bring air tanks up with us to the moon.

Hazmat suits and a power shield to stop rocks from hitting us a beacon to make the laser shield. Have a box to heat up and cool the house use the sun power to make heat and cold

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Astronauts would wake up, eat, exercise, check the filter system, check protection system, and do research and explore the moon.
