In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.
The purpose of this lunar camp is to study the composition of the moon and find possible minerals.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?
Lunar lava tubes
Why did you choose this location?
This location is chosen to be lower in place.
How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?
The moon camp would be built of materials commonly used to create space stations, but with a particularly resistant surface against moon dust.
Water would come from supplies and when it would be used to clean and use it again.
Food would come from plants grown in the camp and from monthly deliveries with various other things.
Energy is obtained from solar panels that are protected by a solid layer of plastic and glass mixes.
Air is obtained by using plants that produce the necessary amount of air.
Astronauts live in a building that protects them from meteorites and radiation.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts
The day would start with breakfast, after which there would be communication with the ground and planning of research operations. After that, the moon is studied, it counts moving around by monthly collecting various samples. Again, the ground is contacted because it needs to be done at least 2 times a day. Then the astronauts get to relax and enjoy dinner after that they go to bed.
