Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022
In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description
Our moon base is called Armstrong because of the first man on the moon that was named Neil Armstrong. We have decided that our moon base is just a stop before we go further in space. For example you could go explore mars with the tools you need to take some stones from mars back to either the moon base or all the way back to Earth. |

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?
Close to the lunar poles Why did you choose this location?
We decided to build our moon base near the poles mainly because of access to the lunar ice and constant supply of sunlight. How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?
We are going to take a 3D printer with us to the moon and make it 2 times as big as it was. Inside the printer is going to be an oven so we can melt Lunar gravel from the moon and wait til it has hardened so we can use it. We do need to find an area where we can build our moon base without problems, this may cause some problems any ways since the moon isn’t flat so before the journey we are going to send and lunar car to scoop up the lunar gravel until we have gotten a flat surface then the we use that lunar gravel for our moon printer. |

The water is going to be our urine cleaned through filters. We will also obtain it from the lunar ice. |
We are going to be planting our food. The dirt is going to be our poop. |
We get our electricity with help from the sun and our solar panels, they are connected to our fridge and computers. |
We get our oxygen from our water tank, Nitrogen must be supplied from Earth because there is not enough of it on the Moon. |
Our protection made out of aluminum mixed with the lunar gravel, we hope to get enough for both the house and our protection. |
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts
I wake up to the sound of my alarm. It feels good to know I survived the night, I really hope my friends would think the same. The first thing I do is go to the toilet. We only have one toilet so we need to take turns. After I have brushed my teeth I go downstairs and into the kitchen to make breakfast. I open the fridge and get out the food that I was going to serve.
