Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

The numbers 1 and 2 of the lunar base are deposits, the first contains clean water, and the second has the function of cleaning the water already used to be able to reuse it (as if it were a treatment plant). At number 3, there are the bedrooms, with the necessary for the crew. The 4 are the bathrooms, the water that is used there is not reused. Number 5 is a kitchen. 6 is the greenhouse, here the necessary living conditions are recreated, you will be able to grow certain foods, so astronauts have enough food. The 7 is the warehouse, here are stored the already packaged meals, objects, suits that are not needed or anything that is not normally necessary. The material we might found easy to use with the resources we have there, having in mind it would be very hard to transport hard metals from the earth, will be a grey dust from the moon. Because this material has the properties that can make bricks. And other material we could use are inflatable domes. So the house will be some inflatable domes recovered by moon bricks to prevent us from any disasters. Beds and other types of furniture will be inflatable too. But the principal material we should use is aluminium because is cheap and resistant.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

We think we could water there.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

The material we might found easy to use with the resources we have there, having in mind it would be very hard to transport hard metals from the earth, will be a grey dust from the moon. From the poles.

Firstly from the Earth and after some time the astronauts would be responsible to produce it.

Nuclear energy.

From water and plants.

From the materials covering the facilities.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Mornings will be used to do research and investigation, afternoons for personal training and fun, nights for getting some sleep and rest.
