Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

When our base first established , şt will not be self sufficient so it will receive supplies from the World but thank to the solar panels and green hausees at our base we will gradually reduce the food aid from the World . Our moon base includes a self contanied loboratary,undergraund greenhause, system and Cargo module

Solar panels and power plants will be used to energy production. When the base fully complleted, it will be a system that can produce its own food and energy.

Shackleton crater
Why did you choose this location?

We plan to established our moon base in the shackleton crater at the South pole. Some areas on the shackleton edge receive almost countinius lighting. İn these olaces sun light almost always uses electricity solar panels, potantially making them good places for future moonlanding. The temperature in this region is also more faurable than at more equatrial latitudes because when the sun over over head it does not experience daily extremes or 100 C during the lunar night its  as low as -150 C clemntine lunar miner   demonstrate the presence of water in polar crater while condacting scientific experiement.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

Firstly, since our base  will consist of many small parts of oue base will be completed in the World. After words, the pieces will be joined together by sending them to the moon in a large period of time by shuttles since the vast majority of our base is build underground, the area will be excauted with machines thats were sent to the moon before . a 3d printer will be used complete the interiors of the sections, and so on interior furniture etc items will be made at low cost. The walls of the base are made of beta-t3au metal.tis metal is 4 times harder than püre titanium can be easily tranferred to the moon base as its easy the transports


First of all we will convert the wate from the glaciers on the moon at the bottom of the shackledon crater to liquid clean and recycle the water in this way , there will be no need tosend water from the World. We will create sel sufficent system, in this way the water needs of astronouts will be met for a long time . As a results , the water will be brought to the base by machines that will be extracted from the crater in the from of glaciers. İt will allow to grow plants with the brouht the water.

1.We will grow crops with the undergroun greenhause in our base , so that the base is food needs will be met for a lon time.
2. As metod the foods will first connect to the gateway to be brought from the World with the dragon Vll veçhile and trensfer the supplies to the storage section of the base.

The main energy source of our base is the power plant in our base, but besides this there will be a large amount of solar panels at our base. Since the sun exposure time is long in the higher parts of the shackleton cretar, solar panels will be placed at higher evalations . while the smaller vehicle in our base are powered by solar energy, the larger living spaces will be powered by the nucleer powe plants. The main purpose of establishing solar sonals and power plants is to produce more energy with less cost and more efficiently. in this way, it will a allow the moonbase to relax financially

At the stage, oxygen will be obtained by extraction from the rgolith and then will obtain food again thanks to mini ecosystem we have created in our waste carbomdioxide base , which is formed from the extraction so that we will able to continue the life in our base.

First of all we will cover the last layers of teh the walls oft the base , which we have created in order to protect against radiation in space with the boron this system will minimize the radiation effects. After words, our firs precaution is to make our base undergroun in order to protect our self the meteors hitting the base and our second majör is the to deflect the meteors orbits a little bit with the magnetic tower we have created and to minimize the damege to our base. Having to many entrances and exits the base will give the astronauts an appurtunity to escape if the base is dameged .

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

By waking up early in the morning, i was prepared to my Daily routine. For my first mission, i went to the computer room, after making sure system there were working propelly, i went to the supply ware hause where the materials from the World put the organize the new cargos from the World. After i completed the shipment of the materials there, i went to the sport room to do my Daily sport, i check the water and air system after i ate my food,that i make sure thart evryhthing was fine in power plants, i wrote my Daily report to sleep and take care of myself, and retired to my room.
