Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Our Moon Camp has a gym with several treadmills. There are solar panels to get power for our Camp.
There are four boxes to cultivate vegetables.
There are three boxes for bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a laboratory, and a bathroom.

There is a landing rocket.
There is an autonomous station to get parameters like temperature, UV rays, etc.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

Our Moon Camp is near the lunar poles because we can use the ice for water.

It is located on the South one because the temperature and hours of Sun are better.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

We pretend to build the Moon Camp by regolith. They can use a 3D printer.

Electricity
Air
Protection

There is water on the Moon. There is ice on the poles. Our Moon Camp is near this ice.

We can cultivate vegetables in our greenhouses. This will be the main menu for the astronauts.

There are several solar panels for the electricity for our Camp.

We can get oxygen in the greenhouses.
We can transform CO2 into O2.

There are UV rays and meteorites on the Moon.
It is dangerous to go outside the Camp.
It is better to use a robot to explore the surface and go out only when necessary and only when the temperature is not too high or too low.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

An astronaut who lives on the Moon cannot be long time there.
They are on the Moon to investigate the materials.
They have to do exercise every day because of gravity.
Their diet will be mainly vegan. They can bring some food from Earth but not so much.
