Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

The process of spending time at the lunar camp and creating a livable environment for astronauts. they consist of a research group of 3 people.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Aitken Crater

Why did you choose this location?

The Aitken Crater will allow us to study and comfortably carry out our work in a larger area than the largest of the craters of the Moon. In addition, the fact that this crater creates an area that is flat enough for a greenhouse will also make our job easier.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

The materials used in the construction of space shuttles and rockets are generally composite materials with a metal matrix. It is also used in space shuttles in aluminum alloys reinforced with boron fibers.

The specific mechanisms of water in the tank, thanks to the pipes with the help of water stored in the water tank. Ease of use for any underground water in times of danger to store the water in the tank transfers.

Astronauts will have the opportunity to produce their own food on the Moon thanks to the long-term non-perishable and easy-to-grow vegetables grown in greenhouses (such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, okra, yesilmas, horseradish, green onions, leeks).

Thanks to the energy obtained from solar panels, the energy needed is provided.

Oxygen will be extracted from water and stored in tanks. Nitrogen must be supplied from Earth because there is not enough of it on the Moon. The Camp is furnished with systems to recover carbon dioxide or redirect it to grow plants.Maintaining appropriate atmosphere (e.g. oxygen, pressure, humidity) is controlled by automatic systems.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Everything that the astronauts will do before going into space is planned. Astronauts wake up and have breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day. In the same way, the food that the astronauts will eat is planned in advance. Then they proceed to implement the plan planned for them, and they also have to run november the treadmill for two hours a day so that their muscles do not get weak in space. Since the

environment in which the astronauts will stay is gravity, they can meet their daily personal cleaning and toilet needs in a normal way.
