In the future, to enable astronauts to stay on the Moon for long periods of time, new infrastructures must be developed to overcome important challenges. Such challenges include protection from radiation and meteorites, energy production, the extraction and recycling of water, food production and much more. The Moon Camp Challenge invites students to explore the Moon and decode some of the complexities future astronauts may face.

In Moon Camp Discovery each team’s mission is to 3D design only one component of a Moon Camp using Tinkercad. Teams can choose to design a:

– Lunar lander

– Moon Base

– Lunar rover

– Rocket

– Lunar Orbital Space Station

The design should be adapted to the Moon environment and if possible consider the use of local resources, provide protection and/or living and working facilities for the astronauts.

Moon Camp Discovery is a non-competitive mission for beginners. All teams that submit an entry that complies with the guidelines will receive a participation certificate and their project will be shared on the Moon Camp online platform.

Who can participate?

Participation is open worldwide to students aged up to 19 years old. Moon Camp Discovery is recommended for students aged 6 to 14 years old. Participating students must be supported by a teacher, educator or parent.

Project description

On the 3D model there is an rocket, and the lunar station The rocket is from gold and silver. The lunar station is from gold. People will move on tunnels. People will walk between the tent and the rocket corridors This corridors are equipped with an unlimited amount of food. At the bottom of the tent are toilets, washrooms and drinking water. the excrements will be stored in tubes located next to the walking tubes and then released to the surface of the moon. Deceased persons and crew members will have a dignified farewell and will be stored in a special room in the rocket, where they will fly their way there and back because they were brave to fly with each other. before the ride, of course, a huge amount of food will be purchased, mainly durable ones such as canned food or pasta and the like, these raw materials will be stored in the already mentioned corridors. cooking will take place in the living area next to the beds, crew members must diligently study Magdalena Rettig’s cookbook before departure. the mattresses have a certain drawer built into them, in which, for example, board games or other secret private things will be stored, there will be no computer for games on board, the games will only have to be presented as they play. the advantage of flying in a rocket is that you will not have to deal with security measures against the epidemic or participate in the census. I’d say it’s really great.
