Moon Camp Pioneers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Pioneers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Fusion 360. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

The Moon Summer Camp consists of seven parts, each with an airtight passageway that connects to each other to facilitate our activities, namely, dormitories: original design, providing large spaces; radar: for receiving signals and instructions; laboratories: for scientific research; water towers: water supply; canteens: meals; gymnasiums: exercise; command centers: information exchange, control the overall operation.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?
Kapadochia, Turkey, is the most similar place on Earth to the moon, this town is “built by mountains”, with a sense of high and low ups and downs, towering a variety of shapes of rocky hills, can give a sense of the moon
How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques and materials you would use.

First of all, you need to consider the overall layout of the lunar summer camp, you need to have a base canteen, bedroom, reservoir, vegetable shed, radar, laboratory and so on some of the necessary equipment for our independent operation and life, through rocket technology to transport the materials we need to the moon, materials, we can choose biodegradable chemical materials.

The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

Our Moon Summer Camp is fully enclosed, and all trips by our staff will take place indoors, connecting several branches of the house through a narrow aisle. At the same time the base has detection safety equipment, there are dangerous warning lights, we will build economic housing cabin use time is enough to support the arrival of rescue teams an emergency shelter, at any time to ensure the safety of staff, while radar equipment transmission information can send a distress signal. Then the closed design, through the narrow passageway, the buildings are connected together to ensure the safety of personnel travel. Finally, through the radar device to transmit information, faster and better service to our summer camp.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

Use rockets to carry water from Earth once, and have water purification equipment in the lab at the moon camp to maximize water utilization by recycling water multiple times. There are also water towers on the camp that can store water and provide water for astronauts at any time.

The moon camp is equipped with a large shed incubator, can grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, and inside is a simulated ecological environment in the earth, are pure green pollution-free food, to meet the needs of astronauts.

The camp has a resource conversion function room that integrates and stores all kinds of resources wasted in life on the moon camp and converts them into power resources to provide astronauts with the power to live and function normally every day.

There are air reconstruction systems and conversion systems in the camp that provide astronauts with enough oxygen through plants and converters, as well as turn exhaled carbon dioxide into available resources.

Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp (for example: commercial, scientific, and/or tourist purposes).

Main objectives: in business: to create a whole new field, with huge business opportunities that will win the curiosity and interest of many people, which will give them a whole new life experience

Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

First of all, we need to get up in the morning to replenish our strength, make a nutritious breakfast with a vegetable shed, and replenish our energy. Then in the morning, we can do some scientific research in the lab to explore the mysterious unknown lunar information. At noon we can enjoy a pleasant lunch, after which we need to re-energize and return to our bedroom for a short break. In the afternoon can do some fitness activities in our activity room, or read books and newspapers and other leisure activities, to ensure that there are adequate activities outside of work, better ensure our health, about an hour of activity, and then continue to complete the day’s tasks. After dinner, we need to do our day’s work summary and reporting mission at our base center, then pass the information through the radar, and charge for tomorrow’s mission, clearly set out their work plan for tomorrow to end the day’s work, good night off.
