Moon Camp Pioneers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Pioneers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Fusion 360. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

To establish a base on the moon for astronauts’ daily life and scientific research, and combine with the existing soil environment and atmospheric environment on the moon, establish a relatively complete energy cycle system to realize resource recycling, so as to reduce the uninterrupted resource supply and recovery of space base station.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Above and below the surface of the moon

 

Through the establishment of different sub base stations, it can realize the storage, recovery, decomposition and treatment of resources that researchers can use, as well as their life and research.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques and materials you would use.

Space and equipment for living and scientific research shall be built on the surface and above the ground, signal receiving and transmitting devices shall be installed above the ground, and space and facilities for resource decomposition and recovery shall be built underground. The camp space is mainly circular channel, and the material is mainly steel with strong hardness.

The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

At the same time, communication facilities and signal devices are used to detect the situation of the camp in real time and send it to the astronauts synchronously.
