Moon Camp Pioneers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Pioneers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Fusion 360. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We use suitable materials and correct scientific theories to build a suitable lunar base for human habitation, where we will enjoy the beauty of the moon, collect lunar soil and rocks, understand the geographical environment of the moon near the base, and explore the mysteries of the moon.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

We want to build our lunar summer camp on the back of the moon, because the back of the moon is more mysterious, and we want to go deeper to uncover this mystery.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques and materials you would use.

We intend to combine the moon’s concrete with urea to build the outermost layer of protection. The internal construction is constructed from stainless steel using the insulation cup principle to maintain the internal temperature constant.

The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

Create suitable shelter for the lunar environment and avoid the harm caused by the lunar natural environment. Prepare suitable spacesuits for astronauts.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

With the right amount of water and some chemicals on Earth, water is generated and separated by chemical reactions and distillation, and water recycling is achieved by means of water purification devices.

Carry compressed food from Earth, self-heat food, and create artificial ecosystems within the base to grow fruits and vegetables.

The use of the moon’s day and night temperature difference to achieve temperature difference power generation to create power.

Create earth air in inner space and mezzanine space, and create a normal human living environment using the principles of exhaust devices and air flow.

Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp (for example: commercial, scientific, and/or tourist purposes).

Study the composition of lunar soil and rocks, explore their value, and contribute to scientific development.

Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

After breakfast, we first check the equipment, then observe the changes in the creatures we plant, then put on our spacesuits and take an elevator out of the base to see the moon, and bring back some of the nearby soil and rocks for research, and in the evening we will look at the stars on the moon through telescopes.
