Moon Camp Pioneers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Pioneers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Fusion 360. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Because the moon is far away and strange to human beings, this scientific research project is carried out to study the moon, including its internal structure, resources and origin issues. We know more about the moon.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

On the sunny side of the moon, because there is no sunlight on the far side of the moon, the energy supply we designed requires sunlight to convert light energy into electric energy, which can also save the energy consumption of sometimes electric lights.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques and materials you would use.

To explore the geology and minerals of the moon's surface and subsurface, to build a lunar synchronous orbiting space station, to build a remote-controlled excavator robot, and then to site a lunar base, and the excavator robot to start digging and build a base. Start interior decoration, water, electricity, network. Crop cultivation, occupancy.

The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

The construction of warning lines and rescue robots, astronauts lost contact with the robot can be through the positioning system on the spacesuit to rescue them, while the signal will be transmitted to the base and other astronauts, so as to timely understand the site and terrain of the disaster, in many places installed cameras.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

The water on the surface of the moon is collected by a water-collecting robot, and then pasteurized. The water is boiled before drinking, and steam flows back over the boiled water to a container to prevent waste of water.

Vegetables were grown in the connecting rooms of the house, with plenty of kale to supplement the astronauts' food supply.

Since there is no wind on the moon, we decided to supplement and utilize energy by absorbing sunlight and converting it into electricity.

Electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen and oxygen.

Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp (for example: commercial, scientific, and/or tourist purposes).

Main purpose is to achieve scientific development, because I think the problem should be found more resources on the moon, and not to explore things, rather than business and tourism, the two is not very practical idea, because the foundation didn't play well, how to develop a higher level, so we conquer this aspect research.

Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

One was responsible for monitoring the movement of people and the changes in various areas through cameras, some were responsible for the planting and eating of food, some were responsible for going out and collecting resources, using related machines for analysis, and still others were responsible for reporting the situation here at any time.
