Project description

Our goal is to design a lunar tourism base, which is divided into two parts. The aboveground part is in the shape of jellyfish, and the underground is an energy station. First, the cable membrane structure we adopted makes it lighter than the ordinary structure, which is safer and more resistant to disasters. The light transmitted by the membrane material is diffuse, which makes people feel very comfortable and soft. Secondly, in order to prevent the unstable state of the top plane, we also strengthened the strength of the support at the top to prevent its shaking from affecting the internal facilities of the base. For the construction of underground base, we adopt the WP foam structure, which can be used as a load-bearing structure as well as a small unit as a water storage cell functional body with a certain ornamental value. It can store water in a multidimensional and distributed manner. It can prevent the danger posed by accidents in single storage, and connect with the upper jellyfish beard structure, and supply water from bottom to top. In terms of tourist experience, sitting on the spherical seat of the semi shielded light star floating on the earth observation platform allows people to experience another beauty of the earth. Based on the environmental characteristics of the moon, we let tourists experience interesting experiments to feel the unique charm of the moon. Finally, we also built the biosphere and experience Museum, the inside items will make people remember this trip.

2.1 Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

I want to base construction in the crater, perry because of its high altitude, no matter how the earth rotation, the peak can be seen the earth all the time, is beneficial to our watching on the earth, and on the back of the mountain, all the year round is not affected by the earth, for deep space observations, but also greatly reduce the risk of being large collision, and a lot of the existence of ice, iron and aluminum, Resources are self-supporting.

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques, materials and your design choices.

For the shell material, we use PTFE membrane material and radiation proof plexiglass. The surface of PTFE membrane material base cloth is coated with polytetrafluoroethylene resin. Its advantages are corrosion resistance, water resistance, bacteria resistance, high temperature resistance, UV resistance, strong self-cleaning ability, flame retardancy, good fire resistance, slow aging, and its optical properties are also unique. Daytime light becomes natural diffuse reflection light through the membrane material, with uniform light distribution, It makes people feel comfortable and can effectively reflect the light of the lamp at night. Radiation proof plexiglass can better prevent the damage of radiation to human body. For the above ground part of the base, we use lubricant impregnation coating and deep-sea precipitation fabric, and the lubricant impregnation coating prepared by imitating the epidermal structure of plants such as pitcher is a good self-healing interface material. At the same time, the deep-sea precipitation fabric can effectively prevent the harm of radiation. For the underground WP structure, we use lunar soil as the raw material for construction. The technology mainly uses 3D printing technology. First print out the underground part, make the foundation, and then start the construction of the above ground part.

2.3 The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them. (maximum 150 words)

Radiation hazard: for the above part, we use high radiation resistant materials such as radiation resistant plexiglass and deep-sea precipitation fabric. For the underground part, WP foam structure and lunar soil can also form an isolation layer to prevent radiation

Temperature hazard: We use radiative radiators, heat pumps to regulate heat from the solar energy and heat from the fuel cell reactor to regulate the temperature of the base.

Meteorite danger: The cable membrane structure used in our base can effectively prevent the disasters caused by small meteorites, and the lubricant impregnated coating self-healing materials can reduce the damage caused by meteorites to the base.

Substantial risk: For hazards such as large meteorites that the base may not be able to deal with, we set up an emergency response underground to deal with such situations

2.4 Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:

Water
Food
Power
Air

Water collection we use to test the perry volcanic crater, neutron spectrometer marked there is water, then the mobile site collects water machine in frozen soil, by conduction, convection heating water ice, will eventually collected liquid water condensation, the internal water circulation system we use to purify the water we use recycle, increase water resource utilization

Food mainly rely on the supply of the biosphere, in the biosphere, we use soreless cultivation in the form of plants in water growth, and through the light of photosynthesis, to provide us with vegetables, at the same time, the biosphere has six livestock breeding hall, through raising chickens and ducks and other animals to provide us with protein nutrition.

For energy, we mainly use solar energy + renewable fuel cell combined power supply. Solar energy is used as the input of the whole system. One part is used as photovoltaic power generation equipment to provide electricity for the system and store the surplus electricity in batteries. The other part acts on the heat collection equipment to provide heat for the hydrolysis reactor and produce hydrogen and oxygen for the fuel cell reaction

For the air part, we use electrolytic water to produce oxygen and hydrogen, using hydrogen obtained from electrolytic water to reduce ilmenite to produce oxygen mainly, and biosphere plants to produce oxygen supplementary, and by the balance control system real-time detection of the data of each indicator of air, take corresponding measures for too low and too high, but also can purify the air.

2.5 Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp.

The main purpose of our lunar camp is to travel. We create an immersive environment to better experience flow – People’s best experience state. Therefore, we have created activities that include both rich travel and rich cognitive experience. Tourism is of great significance to one’s life. It makes the long river of life rich and interesting. It can add some materials to ordinary life. It is an excellent way to recharge. Especially when people are trapped in the prison of life, so we hope to provide an opportunity for people eager to travel to the moon through our moon ball camp to help them find a better life.

3.1 Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

6: 00, the astronauts lay on the bed and recalled the semi spherical seats that shielded the light stars in the earth observation platform yesterday. The guide said that the seats were floating in the air through magnetic levitation technology, and there were stars in the dark environment of the viewing area. Now in retrospect, they still feel very strange and spectacular. Because each seat is arranged in an irregular space and faces the earth, they can watch the earth more macroscopically, Sigh that our planet is so beautiful. He also recalled his experience in the experience hall, which made him feel weightless floating cabin. When he operated on the simulation ball, he could see the scenery photographed by the lunar rover distributed in various scenic spots on the moon. Each project made him feel very happy and shocked.

At 6:30, the astronauts are talking to each other about their visit for the day while eating.

At 7:00, The first place to go today is the lunar laboratory. Astronauts can watch the introduction of the experiment at any time. Most of the experiments here are simple microgravity experiments based on the gravity environment of the moon, such as the experiment of non-separation of water and oil, the observation of flame and liquid bridge in microgravity environment, etc., which makes astronauts have a lot of fun. In addition, astronauts can cultivate some small plants or organisms and observe their growth.

13:00, After enjoying the lunch delivered by the meal delivery robot, the astronaut with the mood into the nap state.

At 14:00, after the nap, the astronauts went to the gym to begin their daily exercise time.

19: 00, after dinner, the astronauts to the biosphere, just out of the elevator was fascinated by the scene, it turns out that this is in the middle is sunflower, is composed of nine planets, the architecture around every building have different play project based on the characteristics of the planets, mercury experience the glamour of the ocean, for example, Venus is jumping the beauty of the golden lotus experience, days satellites dancing feng butterfly dancing, etc. I also learned that the vegetables and proteins I ate were raised on it.

22:00, The astronauts contacted the earth and talked about the experience of the day. With the expectation of going to various scenic spots on the moon by lunar rover tomorrow, they fell asleep.
