Project description

In the future, the goal is to set up a transit station in space, and then further explore deep space, continue to go to deep space, test landing and return technology on other planets on the moon, and establish a base on the moon. People will be born on the earth, but they also need to explore on other planets. Only in this way can people’s career be broadened and face problems Ability will be stronger, life will be better.

2.1 Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

The lunar base is built near the polar regions of the moon.

About 70% – 80% of the time in the polar region of the moon is exposed to sunlight. Solar cells can provide sufficient power for the lunar base. The temperature difference in the polar region is small, and a large number of moon seas are distributed in the polar region. It should be an ideal area for the establishment of a lunar base.

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques, materials and your design choices.

First of all, we should solve the problem of closed life support system, so that people can stay on it for a long time, because the moon is extremely hot and cold (120 ℃ during the day and – 120 ℃ at night) space environment, and the lunar life support system adopts supercritical water oxidation technology. During oxidation, organic matter and oxygen can be dissociated and mixed, which can simplify the design of life support system in the lunar station. We should also open up farms on the moon, plant crops in the pressurized dome by using the soil containing many minerals on the moon, use space nuclear reactor as the base power station on the moon, and use ilmenite thermal reduction on the moon surface to produce oxygen, which can provide oxygen. For the construction of a lunar base, the structural concrete of the base can be made by mixing the lunar soil with water or with other liquids on the moon.

2.3 The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them. (maximum 150 words)

In the clothing, spaceship and equipment of astronauts, radiation protection function should be added as much as possible, so as to protect the astronauts. In the space, they can find “shelter” at any time to avoid the imminent lethal radiation. The camp has “space weather forecast”, which is the key reference for astronauts’ action. Through close monitoring of the space environment, it can help astronauts avoid risks.

2.4 Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:

Water
Food
Power
Air

Using lunar soil, also known as epilithic debris, which contains silicon and metal oxides, about 43% oxygen on average. In this way, oxygen can be separated from minerals, combined with hydrogen, and heated to a certain temperature. At this temperature, hydrogen and oxygen can be combined to form water, and water can be collected through the interaction of rock molecules and dust particles on the surface of the moon, especially a few millimeters deep.

We plan to grow fast-growing and conserved food on the moon base, and we use special nutrient solutions to cultivate them. We will use the earth Yunshu vacuum packaged meat products to maintain the health of our members

Build a huge solar photovoltaic array in the lunar camp to gather a large amount of sunlight to generate electricity. A day and a dark day on the moon last about two weeks on earth. For continuous power supply, a solar power station can be built on the moon every 120 degrees of longitude, or a solar power station can be built on the front and back of the moon, and then connected into a grid, which can ensure the continuous and stable power generation of the whole grid.

Some chemicals are used to release oxygen through contact with water. In addition to oxygen, other gases may be captured from space by special instruments of lunar camp and transported to living areas. In this way, a gas environment suitable for human survival will be created.

2.5 Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp.

The future goal is to establish a transit station in space, and then further explore deep space, and continue to go deep space. To test the technology of landing on other planets and returning to the earth on the moon, to establish a base on the moon, people will be born on the earth, but they also need to develop on other planets.

3.1 Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

The astronauts get up at 6 a.m. and have an hour and a half to do personal hygiene and breakfast (everyone makes their own), after which they can exercise for an hour. Before 8:30 a.m., they have to check the base and discuss the day plan. Then he began to engage in complex space operations: assembling a space station, building a space city, releasing, recovering, repairing and capturing spacecraft, developing space resources, and using crops to carry out space biological effects research. Lunch time is from 11:00 to 12:00, and then one and a half hour lunch break can be started. The lunch break ends and the scientific research project in the afternoon starts. It’s dinner time from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., after which the astronauts begin the day’s summary
