Project description

Translation:

We’ve designed this moon rover to be both useful and cute.
It has a diamond-shaped base, with solar panels on top to capture energy. Underneath is a spare wheel and engine. The legs are in the shape of a pyramidal trunk with a crow’s feet shape. We have characterized it with eyes and a mustache, but above all we have personalized it by adding the initials of our names. On the front of the vehicle are the robotic arms which are useful for collecting lunar soil samples;
one has a drill on the end while the other has a prehensile termination. It moves using solar energy collected from the panels and in case of lack of sun it will automatically activate the engine, which is positioned behind and below the lunar rover. The colors we used are light so the rover doesn’t get hot.

Abbiamo progettato questo rover lunare in modo che sia utile e simpatico.
Ha una base a forma di diamante, con sopra dei pannelli solari per catturare energia. Sotto c’è una ruota di scorta e un motore. Le zampe sono a forma di tronco piramidale con una terminazine a forma di piedi di gallina. L’abbiamo caratterizzato con occhi e baffi, ma soprattutto lo abbiamo personalizzato aggiungendo le iniziali dei nostri nomi. Sul fronte del mezzo ci sono le braccia robotiche che sono utili per raccogliere campioni di suolo lunare;
una ha un trapano all’estremità mentre l’altra ha una terminazione prensile. Si muove utilizzando l’energia solare raccolta dai pannelli e in caso di mancanza di sole si attiverà automaticamente il motore, che è posizionato dietro e sotto il rover lunare. I colori che abbiamo utilizzato sono chiari in modo che il rover non si surriscaldi.
