Project description

Our Moon Base is efficient against all of the dangers on the moon including cosmic radiation, extreme temperatures and micro-meteoroids it also has a mini atmosphere to protect the astronauts from these things.

Here are ways we will protect the astronauts from cosmic radiation:

Shielding: The base can be built with thick walls made of radiation-resistant materials, such as lunar soil or water ice, which can absorb and deflect incoming radiation.

Underground Shelters: The base can be built underground, which provides additional shielding from cosmic radiation.

Time management: Astronauts can time their stays on the moon to minimize their exposure to cosmic radiation, by avoiding extended stays during periods of high solar activity.

Solar storms prediction: The base can have advanced warning systems in place to detect and predict solar storms, allowing astronauts to seek shelter in radiation-shielded areas in the event of a storm. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Astronauts can wear protective suits and equipment designed to block or reduce exposure to cosmic radiation.

We will use polyethene: Polyethylene is a type of plastic that can be used as radiation shielding. It is lightweight, readily available, and relatively cheap. To make our mini atmosphere and lead: Lead is one of the most effective materials for blocking radiation, but it is also heavy and not practical for building a large structure.

for any buildings inside which they will stay in case of a solar storm which we will be predictable through devices which will predict solar storms.
