Project description

This rover is meant to analyze the Moon’s surface properties and in situ resources in order to prepare for the future building of a Moon Camp.

Our rover is unpressurized and autonomous but can also be driven by an astronaut.

The main frame of the rover is made of titanium.

In the future, we could imagine building them in situ, since on the Moon, we can find ilmenite (FeTiO3), a mineral compound that contains iron, titanium, and oxygen.

The rover can handle rocks and regolith.

The spike is also made of titanium and the robotic arm is provided with a high-definition camera and a very powerful laser.

Our mascot is an axolotl and its name is the Great Skippy.

Thank you, ESA for this Challenge!

We are extremely grateful for this learning opportunity and we believe that creativity can open up new horizons and save the world.
