Moon Camp Explorers 2022 – 2023 Project Gallery

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangers of space and describe the living and working facilities in their Moon Camp.

1.1 – Project Description

to start our base is called lunodor, 4 astronauts can house our base and live there on a daily basis, beds, several offices and a kitchen are in our base there is also a scientific office with computers for research and a lounge for They can watch tv there.

1.2 – Why do your astronaut want to go to the Moon and build a Moon Camp?

Because they want to do research on the moon .

2.1.a – Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

2.2.b – Why did you choose this location?

We chose this location at the poles because there are few meteorites at the poles.

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe how you can use the Moon’s natural resources, and which materials you would need to bring from Earth.

With the equipment from the space ship from the earth.

3.1 – How does your Moon Camp protect and provide shelter to your astronauts against the Moon’s harsh environment.

Our base is under the ground so the asteroid  can’t come in our base

3.2 – On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long Moon missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from the Earth. Explain how your Moon Camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power.

On the moon, resources are very scarce but during long moon missions astronaut cannot rely on resupply missions from the earth explain how your camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water food air and power

For the water we can melt the ice under the surface of the moon

For the food, spaceship will come from earth and bring dry rations for a month or two

For the air, we can bring oxygen in boxes and create some with molecules

For the power we use solar panels since where we’re installed, the sun is almost always shining

4.1 – What would you include in your astronaut training programme, to help prepare the astronauts for a Moon mission?

Before they go in the space they do breathing training. And they train to get their body used to the cold temperature.
