Moon Camp Explorers 2022 – 2023 Project Gallery

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangers of space and describe the living and working facilities in their Moon Camp.

1.1 – Project Description

Translation:

The project is specialized to permanently inhabit the moon (moon camp challenge) with work and discipline.

Original Text:

1.2 – Why do your astronaut want to go to the Moon and build a Moon Camp?

Translation:

to give mankind a breakthrough and explore the moon and space from his sight

Original text:

2.1.a – Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Shackleton crater

2.2.b – Why did you choose this location?

Translation:

in the smallest lunar hole to be visible from a satellite and to be able to build a protective barrier.

Original text:

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe how you can use the Moon’s natural resources, and which materials you would need to bring from Earth.

Translation:

First we decided to arrive with a rocket and resources for a year, then transport resources from the moon and the earth and we calculated an end of construction of 8 years in a row, and the following year, build the room on the moon.

Original text:

3.1 – How does your Moon Camp protect and provide shelter to your astronauts against the Moon’s harsh environment.

Translation:

The living area is built with the interior of a house and between walls, there are radiators up to 40ºC.

Original text:

3.2 – On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long Moon missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from the Earth. Explain how your Moon Camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power.

Translation:

The air has a generator that performs a 2-month oxygen exchange process and every 1 and a half months oxygen transportation is carried out on the ground. The food performs the same process as the air (transport from the ground). And the Water performs the same as food but more is produced with a process that is producing more water in the mine.

Original text:

4.1 – What would you include in your astronaut training programme, to help prepare the astronauts for a Moon mission?

Translation:

1.plan it, 2 practice the plan. 3 carry out the mission.

Original Text:

1.planearlo, 2 practicar el plan. 3 realizar la misión.
