Moon Camp Explorers 2022 – 2023 Project Gallery

 

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangers of space and describe the living and working facilities in their Moon Camp.

1.1 – Project Description

Translation:

We have prepared a lunar station for two astronauts, with a dome, a room for two, a mini bathroom, several greenhouses and more… We have also built a space rocket and a GYM for astronauts to maintain their physical shape.

Hemos preparado una estación lunar para dos astronautas,con una cúpula,una habitación para dos,un mini baño,varios invernaderos y más…También hemos construido un cohete espaciAL y un GYM para que los astronautas mantengan su forma física.

1.2 – Why do your astronaut want to go to the Moon and build a Moon Camp?

Translation:

The astronaut Jack Maholez, since he was little, wanted to go to the Moon, it was his dream, he pursued that dream until he achieved it, one day they finally told him to travel to the Moon with a guest, and without any doubt, he invited his best friend Marco Styles.

El astronauta Jack Maholez, desde pequeño quiso ir a la Luna, era su sueño, persiguió ese sueño hasta conseguirlo, un dia al fin le dijeron de viajar a la Luna con un invitado, y sin ningún tipo de duda, el invitó a su mejor amigo Marco Styles.

Me gustaría construirlo en la cara principal de la Luna.

2.2.b – Why did you choose this location?

Translation:
I have chosen this place because from the main side of the Moon you can see the Earth perfectly.

He elegido este lugar porque desde la cara principal de la Luna se puede ver perfectamente la Tierra.

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe how you can use the Moon’s natural resources, and which materials you would need to bring from Earth.

Translation:

We have built bathrooms in one part for the astronauts to relieve themselves, we have also made a room for two, a GYM, a space car and solar panels for electricity.

Hemos construido baños en una parte para que los astronautas hagan sus necesidades , también hemos hecho una habitación de dos,un GYM, un carro espacial y placas solares para tener electricidad.

3.1 – How does your Moon Camp protect and provide shelter to your astronauts against the Moon’s harsh environment.

Translation:

Thanks to a special suit, which prevents astronauts from running out of oxygen.

Gracias a un traje especial,que impide que los astronautas se queden sin oxigeno.

3.2 – On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long Moon missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from the Earth. Explain how your Moon Camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power.

From time to time NASA sends them food and water so they can survive.

Cada cierto tiempo la NASA les envía comida y agua para que puedan sobrevivir.

4.1 – What would you include in your astronaut training programme, to help prepare the astronauts for a Moon mission?
