Moon Camp Explorers 2022 – 2023 Project Gallery

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangers of space and describe the living and working facilities in their Moon Camp.

1.1 – Project Description

Translation:

It is a design of some chalets to be built on the lunar base that will begin to be built at the beginning of 2032 and they will be the most luxurious chalets in the entire universe with an initial sale price of 140 million euros, they have a dome which protects them from ultraviolet rays and provides them with air.

1.2 – Why do your astronaut want to go to the Moon and build a Moon Camp?

Translation:

Our astronaut wants to go to the moon since he wants to be the first Spanish and Andalusian astronaut in the world to go beyond the Carrefour in the next town, to see if there is life and show them an Andalusian breakfast, which is a good toast of oil and salt with a little orange juice and take them together with some very good views of the Earth.

He also wants to build a 5-capsule villa in the part near the lunar equator.

Original Text:

2.1.a – Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar equator

2.2.b – Why did you choose this location?

Translation:

Because it is the part of the lunar base where the sun shines more so as not to die of cold, and it is also where the ground is flatter to be able to build. When the construction is finished, it will be the most luxurious place in the world, so it will be named SotoLunar.

Original Text:

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe how you can use the Moon’s natural resources, and which materials you would need to bring from Earth.

Translation:

With gold foundations and hermetic capsules so that no harmful gases can enter. Two capsules on top of the lunar base next to a garage with a rocket to return to Earth.

Original Text:

3.1 – How does your Moon Camp protect and provide shelter to your astronauts against the Moon’s harsh environment.

Translation:

With a large dome which covers them from radiation, it provides air to the members to be able to go quietly without special astronaut suits.

Original Text:

3.2 – On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long Moon missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from the Earth. Explain how your Moon Camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power.

Translation:

For energy we have a large cargo of energy in the ship, for food we also carry a large cargo, for water we have found an underground lagoon about 12 meters from the surface, and for air we have a large dome which the dioxide of carbon transforms it into oxygen.

Original Text:

4.1 – What would you include in your astronaut training programme, to help prepare the astronauts for a Moon mission?

Translation:

The first thing they have to need is a diploma of having spent 300 hours without a single drop of water or food, since if a failure occurs, the rescues take several days and the second thing is to know about lunar terrain.

Original Text:
