Moon Camp Explorers 2022 – 2023 Project Gallery

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangers of space and describe the living and working facilities in their Moon Camp.

1.1 – Project Description

Translation:

Hello. Our moon camp is based on: a greenhouse to have crops and food, with our rocket that was the Falcon 9 we reached the moon, our rocket landed and we began to build our moon camp, then the rocket broke and we had to fix it, to survive we made a water tank with underground pipes to draw water, we put antennas to see if there was interference with anything, we had a problem there was no energy so we started to put solar panels, there were 2 large ones and many medium ones to have energy on the moon, to having plenty of oxygen, we brought many cylinders and put them in a dome, we made two rooms because all the beds did not fit in one room, we decided to make a laboratory to experiment with strange things that were on the moon and finally we built a dome with screens where we looked at the cameras that we had hidden throughout the moon camp.

Hola.

1.2 – Why do your astronaut want to go to the Moon and build a Moon Camp?

.

2.1.a – Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar equator

2.2.b – Why did you choose this location?

Translation:

because it is closer to the sun, being so it gives more energy to the solar panels.

Original Text:

2.2 How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe how you can use the Moon’s natural resources, and which materials you would need to bring from Earth.

Translation:

To get water, we read a theory that said that there was ice inside the moon, so we put some tubes inside the moon to filter that ice and turn it into drinking water, we had to bring some tubes and a water tank from Earth.

Original Text:

3.1 – How does your Moon Camp protect and provide shelter to your astronauts against the Moon’s harsh environment.

Translation:

Because the domes and the suits are prepared so that nothing happens to them.

Original text:

3.2 – On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long Moon missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from the Earth. Explain how your Moon Camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power.

Translation:

On the Moon, resources are very scarce, but during long lunar missions, astronauts cannot rely on resupply missions from Earth. Explain how your moon camp will provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic necessities such as water, food, air, and energy (max 200 words). We get the water because inside the moon there is ice, we get water through some tubes, we grow food, through some bottles that we brought from the earth, we get the energy through the solar panels.

Original Text:

4.1 – What would you include in your astronaut training programme, to help prepare the astronauts for a Moon mission?

Translation:

first you would have to be strong so that you can walk well to go to the moon you have to be prepared, you have to bring many computers decorations. You have to look for elements on the moon and know how to survive, for the greenhouse you have to bring seeds to plant them inside the greenhouse and we have to have a bunker in case there is a meteorite, then you have to build a satellite to see if there is interference, for the water we had read that there is ice inside the moon I could take it into account, you have to have an emergency rocket, so that is the thing that man has to do to survive on the moon.
