Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2019-2020
In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description
Our MoonCamp project has two houses to live two astronauts, whose share of oxygen and housing exchanges. The Moon Base has gym, kitchen, laboratory, bathroom, workshop, warehouse, greenhouse and bedrooms (unidentified). The base also includes a photovoltaic panel, a rover, a nuclear generator, and a communication antenna. |

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?
Close to the Lunar Poles Why did you choose this location?
We have chose this location because of the existence of underground ice and a permanent sun exposure, which facilitates the obtaining of energy and minor thermal variations, thereby protecting the material from the base. |

|
By extracting the ice in the underground and melting it. |
Production of vegetables and fruit in greenhouse. |
With the nuclear generator and with the photovoltaic panels. |
We get oxygen from the greenhouse and electrolysis of water (if needed). |
How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?
With regolith (using 3D printers), with titanium alloys and kevlar. |
|||
The Moon environment is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.
With regolith (using 3D printers), kevlar and titanium alloys. |

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts
The astronaut would start the day communicating with Earth, asking for work guidance. It would deal with its hygiene, feed, go to the gym, go rover tour to discover materials, follow certain protocols, maintain the base and greenhouse, proceed to scientific research, and finally rest. |
