In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description Our Mooncamp is called “Stairway to Stars”. It is situated at the crater depression to be better protected from potentional dangers at the surface (meteors, dust etc.). It is projected to give shelter for two people, which is the maximum transport capacity of our small yellow-red space ship (as can be seen docked in the picture). The steep rock stairs next to the entrance of the moonbase are the perfect place for observing stars and Space.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp? Close to the Lunar Equator Why did you choose this location? We have chosen the location in low latitudes because it helps the space ship to take off, it saves energy (although the centrifugal force on the Moon is much lower than on the Earth).

We unfreeze ice extracted from deep drill holes. Neccessary energy is obtained from our solar panels.	We depend on regular supply missions from the Earth.	Whole energy demand is covered by the set of auto adjustable solar panels.	We depend on regular supply missions from the Earth.
How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use? The main construction is built from the titan metal. We also use rock and regolith for supporting constructions.
The Moon environment is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them. The moonbase is fully isolated from outside conditions. There are two independent inhabitable units – the bigger one is the primary one and the smaller one can serve as a backup in case of emergency, for example if the main unit gets decompressed.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts We use to sit at the outside stairs all day long and watch stars and planets going by.
