Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2019-2020

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We are using domes to protect austronauts. We plan tat austronauts will have magnetic bracelets and boots which will make them heavy as at Earth. we are gong to use solar panels and geothermal generator as backup and for night. We will get materials like titanium.. by drilling into the Moon.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Lunar lava tubes

Why did you choose this location?

As you know lava is hot really hot. We could use it as energy source by geothermal generator. Also we could take soem of the tempeature to heat up colony. Long story short it  is useful.
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

We can move first water there with austronauts and then filtrate it back as it is used and then we could move by lunar vehichles

We can grow food and have animals there. We already sent animals into space so that is not problem.

We can use solar panels and geothermal generators as I mentioned earlier. However we of course batteries to store energy for night.

We can use plants and filtration also we can get it from ice.
How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

I would choose glass dome and inside of it there would be solar pannels inside of it there would be another doem of lead. and inside of it houses from iron.
The Moon environment is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

Glass dome then solar panels (they can be destroyed) and then lead dome.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Austronaut wakes up then he will eat breakfast. After that he will check machines if they work as they schould.If yes then he will go take care of animals and plants. After everything is done he will read ro train in gym. when is everything else done he goes to lab and does experiments. Even after that he will go to the drill and he will take samples for another day. He will between activities eat lunch. After all he will eat dinner and go to sleep.
