Project description

We are a class of 25 students. We are 7 years old -2nd of Primary. We were doing a project on space and our last mission was the moon camp challenge. It was a challenge for us, but we’ve worked a lot! First, we decided that our space habitat was going to be the moon. We already knew many things about the moon, but we learned more and more. We tried to solve these questions: Could we live on the moon? What would we need to live on the moon? How’s the moon habitat?

After making our hypothesis, we did some activities and we learned many things about the moon. Then, in groups of 4/5 we designed our moon camp. We decided what elements we should include and why (example: a place to grow plants. Why? To have things to eat). We also decided that we would have two shelters. One on the surface and another one under it.

Every member of the team drew their design and after that, we decided how to build it as a team, using recycled material (cardboard, fabric…). It was fun and we loved creating our moon camp. We had 6 groups, so we created 6 different shelters. It’s been an amazing experience! Thank you for making it possible.
