Our camp is made up of 4 domes, each one has different functions there is one for cultivating another for working in mechanical things (repair the rocket and more things), other for sleeping and cleaning yourself and one for eating all together. In order to cultivate and survive we needed water so we investigated that inside the mountains there are pieces of ice so we made a simple mechanism in order to extract water from the mountains that you can see in the model, to avoid wasting water the toilets don’t use it, they are filled with soil so we can make fertileiser and the water used in the shower is recolected and reused. The floor is made up of coconut fiber and the domes are filled of arlit, because Mercury has very high and low temperatures and they are very good thermal insulators. Another problem we had to deal with was high radiation of this planet so the domes and the tubes are covered with a layer of concrete and because this layer blocked all the light passing we made small holes in the tubes and domes (in the model the domes are transparent in order to see the interior better).
