12th Kindergarten of Sykies Thessaloniki-Sykies Greece 6 years old and younger 20 / 11 English Moon
We are a kindergarten class of 20 students, 4-6 years old and two teachers. We have been working a project about space for two months and we are excited about space and the mysteries it hides, so we tried to learn as much as we could about it, through games, fairy tales, songs, simulations and experiments and we really had an amazing time!
We had the idea to be astronauts and explore the moon. We learnt about moon and the people who first reach the moon years ago. Then we decided to make the spaceship.
After discussing about its design and the materials that can be used, we made groups το work collaboratively. We used various kinds of paper, brushes, paints, scissors and silicon. Each group had to complete a task. For example one group had to paint, the second ought to cut paper and make the wings. The third was responsible to make the rocket and the last one had to assemple the parts of our spaceship.
In the end we became astronauts, we got into our spaceship, we traveled into space and we explored the moon by using our knowledge and imagination!
