Project description

The Moon Camp project is an educational initiative that allows us to design a sustainable lunar habitat. It encourages creativity and problem-solving skills among participants, fostering interest in space exploration and science. The moon camp project aims to revolutionize space exploration by establishing a permanent space station on the Moon.

The 3D drawing of the rocket station shows a square large-scale cylindrical structure, with four domes and tubes. At first glance we can see that the main launch platform is located. Throughout the station, there are four tubes which communicate with each of the domes. Also a solar panel which provides sustainable energy for onboard operations. The design shows the functionality and efficiency, with a futuristic look that reflects the vision of advanced space exploration. The main parts are:

  1. Launch pad: It is the top of the rocket station, where the spacecraft is placed and launched. It includes a service tower that provides access to the spacecraft and support equipment during preparation for launch.
  2. Structural support tubes: Some tubes may form part of the main structure of the spacecraft, providing rigidity and

resistance to internal and external pressure. These tubes can be made of composite materials or strong metals to withstand the loads and stresses during launch and flight.

  1. The domes: the domes on a rocket station play a variety of important roles, from space observation to crew recreation and scientific research. Their specific design and function may vary depending on the needs and objectives of the space mission. In the event of an emergency, the domes can serve as safe haven areas for the crew, providing a protected, airtight environment in which to take refuge while the situation is resolved. They also provide space for bedrooms, a dining room and a living room.
  2. The first dome provides a safe space in case any emergency happens. It has enough space for 300 people and enough food to keep all of them alive for 5 months.

  1. The second dome is a dormitory with 200 beds and separated rooms for boys and girls. It also has bathrooms and a little kitchen in case they are hungry between meals.

  1. The third dome is a living room in which campers can spend their free time and play games.
  2. The fourth and last one is a dining room with a kitchen. Here campers will eat their meals.
  3. Trees: The trees provide a natural effect in the camp and give life and oxigen. They also create a great space for people to sit and enjoy some fresh air.
  4. Antenna: This helps contact in case of help. It is out of the triangular dome because it needs to have connection outside the camp.
  5. Passageways: They are tunnels that connect the four domes between each other and they also connect with the central part of the camp, which is the launch pad.
