” Epsilon Base ” in Lunar South Pole by Lunar explorers

6th Primary School of Sykies -3rd Grade  Thessaloniki-Sykies    Greece 9 years old   22 / 11 English Moon

Project description

Our Epsilon base is located in the South Pole of the Moon near the Shackleton Crater, where sunlight is always available for conversion into electricity using solar panels.
Our launch vehicle is Ariane 6, which is about to launch in June of 2024.The hangar next to Ariane (Building A) is for building and protecting the rocket and the rover from the meteorites. The lunar rover is for exploring near places.
Insulated tube corridors give access to the main (house) Building B, where our astronauts live. The parabolic antenna on the roof is for communicating with Earth.
Next is Building C which is our greenhouse for plant cultivation and oxygen production.
Finally, Building D is a small nuclear reactor for giving huge amount of energy.
At the center of the base there are lots of photovoltaic panels providing energy to buildings A,B,C. Using nuclear and solar energy gives energy security to the base.
In the sky is the Earth as seen from the Moon and the Orion constellation.
