Project description

The content of the competition is based on the base of scientific research, supplemented by accommodation and entertainment. The base is established in the Jezero Crater on Mars. The atmosphere of Mars is mostly carbon dioxide, there are suspended dust and methane, the temperature difference between day and night is large, there are large-scale sandstorms and storms, the air pressure is lower than the Earth, the terrain is complex and diverse, the soil has high concentration of radioactive substances and toxic substances, and the lack of nitrogen and phosphorus and other elements. The main components of the Martian shell are silicon, oxygen, iron, magnesium, aluminum, calcium and potassium. There are observations of groundwater gushing up on Mars, there is underground ice.

The base is characterized by Hakka Tulou, which is mainly divided into four areas, namely living area, energy area, scientific research area and external area. The living area provides accommodation for three to four people, equipped with entertainment room, gym, medical room and other facilities, and can be reused through manned spacecraft environmental control and life support system in the living area, reflecting humanistic care. The research area is equipped with high-tech laboratories as well as meeting rooms, communication rooms, central control rooms, etc. Fuel area with oxygen manufacturing, solar power generation, water treatment, reusable, fuel production, temperature control and other areas. The outside area has planting areas, transport vehicles, rocket launch bases, rovers, wind power stations, nuclear power stations and so on.

There are five innovation points at the base:1. Use crystal glass ball to concentrate solar energy, crystal glass ball with acrylic polymer ball lens, the center of the ball is water. It can concentrate the solar energy to a point, and put solar panels at the intersection, using solar energy to generate electricity and improve power generation efficiency.2. The base adopts the structure of Hakka Tulou, which has the advantages of centralized polymerization, stability, ring structure, and easy access for astronauts and materials transportation. Heat preservation and insulation.3.When manufacturing water sources at the base, drilling is used to extract ice. The Mars transport vehicle’s drill bits and heating rods are used to heat the ice, and the transport vehicle is used to transport it to the reservoir4. Mars sandstorm detection system to prevent sandstorms, based on rover landing vehicle monitoring, orbiter imaging monitoring, orbiter infrared spectrum monitoring and other technologies constitute a sandstorm monitoring system, monitoring the intensity of sandstorms, to reduce base losses.5. The use of scroll compressors and oxygen generators to produce oxygen by electrolyzing carbon dioxide, reducing the waste of hydrogen and increasing the efficiency of oxygen production.
