——the wings of hope
The base modeled planet was identified as Mars.
Introduction to the overall structure of the base: First, the site selection was a problem, and the group determined that the site of the base would be located in the lava pipeline of the Hellas Plain near the equator of Mars. Secondly, the overall layout of the base, our group adopts a plan to divide the base into two areas, above ground and underground, as a functional area and a living area. It can be said that the overall layout of the structure of the base is based on the site selection of the base. The data shows that the environment on Mars is harsh, and challenges such as intense radiation, low temperatures, and meteorite impacts need to be overcome. Studies have shown that the lava pipelines of the Hellas Plains have a great advantage in overcoming these conditions. The first is that it has a lower terrain and a thicker atmosphere to help reduce the harm caused by radiation, and the second is that the interior of the lava pipeline can serve as a natural protective barrier on the surface of Mars, which is very effective in isolating radiation, keeping warm and preventing meteorite impacts. Therefore, the base living quarters were built inside the lava pipeline to protect the lives and health of the astronauts. The functional area is built on the surface of the earth in order to be able to use the environmental resources of Mars and to carry out scientific research work on Mars more conveniently. The living area and functional area are introduced as follows, and the living area includes: accommodation and living cabin, leisure and entertainment cabin, water supply cabin, kitchen, meeting report recording room, control room, biogas digester, and storage room. The functional areas include: solar panels, radars, planting sites, oxygen manufacturing warehouses, and rover.
Introduction to the relevant innovation points: 1. Site selection: The Martian lava pipeline is used as a natural barrier to overcome the harsh environment of Mars. 2. Base structure planning: Adopt above-ground and underground partition construction, and use the Martian environment to ensure that the function of the base is best played. 3. Soilless cultivation technology: Deliver nutrient-rich water to plant roots for cultivation to overcome the problem that Martian soil cannot be planted. 4. Planting temperature control: adopt the principle of vegetable greenhouse, cover with light-transmitting film, add n-undecane gas inside, maintain a constant temperature, and overcome the problem of large temperature difference between day and night and cold temperature in Mars. 5. Oxygen production plant: supply oxygen to plants at night, absorb the oxygen produced by plant photosynthesis during the day, and make a circulatory system.
