In terms of materials, since overcoming the problem of high-energy radiation on Mars is one of the important challenges faced by immigrants to Mars, we have chosen to avoid areas of high radiation and establish settlements and activity areas to reduce the time humans are exposed to high-radiation environments.
In terms of energy, make full use of the abundant sunlight resources on Mars to provide indoor heating and energy through solar technology, while reducing dependence on traditional energy sources.
In terms of structure, the special environment of Mars is taken into account, such as extreme temperature differences, radiation, etc. The structural model of the building needs to undergo rigorous calculations and tests to ensure its stability and safety on Mars.
We have built a series of living and working houses with thickened materials using hexagonal buildings as units, which are connected layer by layer, which not only brings convenience to life and work, but also ensures stability and safety to a certain extent.
Our buildings are divided into two categories: work area and living area, five modules: laboratory, meeting room, living room, bedroom, kitchen. Construct a scientific research laboratory for scientific research on Mars, including geology, climate, biology and other aspects. Build meeting rooms to bring scientists together and make decisions quickly in critical situations. The living room has a range of fitness equipment and TV, books, and more for entertaining. Bathrooms are equipped with bathing and toileting facilities for the convenience of the guests. The infrastructure of the kitchen solves the problem of people eating. At the same time, 3D printing technology is used to print food raw materials into food with specific shapes and textures to meet the taste and nutritional needs of the settlers.
