Nuestro proyecto consiste en una base situada en la base de Marte compuesta por diversos
módulos que servirán de lugar de trabajo, alojamiento y ocio entre otras cosas más. A la
hora de diseñar el complejo se han tenido en cuenta numerosos factores, por ejemplo el
clima, la radiación, la investigación llevada a cabo allí; que han influido en los materiales
elegidos y la distribución concebida. La estructura básica está conformada por 1 módulo
central cuya principal función es albergar las comunicaciones con la Tierra y que sirve de
zona común para los tripulantes y 4 módulos secundarios; estos orientados a actividades
específicos como habitaciones para descansar, un gimnasio para ejercitarse, un huerto para
abastecerse de comida y un almacén para guardar cualquier objeto no necesario en el
momento.
Para la construcción de esta base se han requerido materiales aptos para resistir las
enormes cantidades de radiación existentes en el planeta rojo. El plomo ha sido esencial
para el esqueleto de la estructura de la base, siendo este un excelente escudo contra la
radiación, absorbiendo este una gran cantidad de ella. También han sido seleccionados el
Gore-tex y el Nomex; siendo el primero un aislante de la radiación esencial en la
construcción de nuestro complejo y el segundo un material imprescindible a la hora de
confeccionar trajes aptos para la vida en Marte.

Our project consists of a base located at the base of Mars composed of various

For the construction of this base, materials suitable to resist the
enormous amounts of radiation existing on the red planet. Lead has been essential
for the skeleton of the base structure, this being an excellent shield against
radiation, absorbing a large amount of it. They have also been selected
Gore-tex and Nomex; the first being an insulator of essential radiation in the
construction of our complex and the second an essential material when it comes to
make suits suitable for life on Mars.
