Project description

This project is designed to build a habitat on Mars. There can be upto 5 astronauts who can safely live on Mars for the duration of this mission. In this project there are six rooms, green house, kitchen, living room, office, play room, and a safety room. Five rooms are located on the first level and the safety room is located below the ground for safety reasons. It is stocked with necessities to help the Astronauts survive in case there is a storm or the main habitat is damaged.

The green house is located on the left while the play room is located on the right. Each room will help to survive. First, imagine running out of food ? You simply travel to the left and there is a green house. In the greenhouse, there is plenty of fresh food and a way to regrow them. These could provide lots of nutrients to keep you healthy until your next delivery. There are plants to eat like radishes, tomatoes, soybeans, wheat, chickpeas, carrots, dill, sweet potatoes, and basil. These will help you with a balanced and nutritious meal.

There are 5 big solar panels on the ground around the habitat. These bring power to store in a mega battery which is located in the safety room. This battery powers all the rooms and the equipment. There is a display on the battery which shows how much electricity there is available.

It’s night and the Astronauts are tired they need a place to sleep. There are five beds with ear muffs or anti snores to help the five astronauts have restful sleep. The room is shaped like a dome with a clear ceiling to view the wonderful sky. There is an option to darken the glass for sleeping if it is too bright.

There is also an office room for everyone to work Only. There is a lot of equipment to share: microscopes, scanners, lasers, protective equipment, storage for research samples, and computers.

Lastly, The Astronauts might want a break so they could go to the fun/play room where they have fun. There are special treadmills there and a court which can be used for basketball, tennis and soccer. There are books to read and relax.

In a case of of a storm, there is a big safety room right under the habitat. This is where they can stay safe in case there is any damage to the main habitat. This is equipped with ladders and elevators for wheelchairs.
