Moon Base Vita Ansaldo by OSE

John A. Sutter Middle School  Winnetka-California    United States 14 years old   5 / 2 English Moon

Project description

Moon Base Vita Ansaldo will be located on the Moon’s north pole, where robots and astronauts will work together to ensure survival. The base will rely on water recycling systems and mining ice to provide water for drinking and other daily activities, while a greenhouse and preserved meals will provide food. Vita Ansaldo will use metalysis and electrolysis to extract oxygen, with power coming from a nuclear reactor and solar panels. Solar-powered robots will arrive first to locate the safest area for astronauts to land, after which a building will be constructed for future access. Overall, Moon Base Vita Ansaldo is designed to be a self-sustaining habitat for long-term human presence on the Moon.
