Project description

We named our team Blue Moon Camp because a blue moon is always unique, and so is our camp! Our moon camp is designed to house two astronauts and provide them with all their rational needs. We have 12 rooms including a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, medical facilities, storage unit, water filtration/oxygen room (basement), laboratory, workshop, entertainment room, workroom, living room and the cockpit. At our main page of this project, we have parked the rocket in the middle. We also kept our plants and our drill there too with a satellite flying just above the rocket. Our kitchen/dining room is a nice, comfortable place to eat at. It has electrical facilities including an oven, stove and fridge. It even has cups and plates. Next, our bedroom. Our bedroom is one of the cosiest rooms in our rocket. Good for both relaxing and sleeping in. The bathroom is quite an essential room in this project! We have included toilets, sinks and even a bathtub. The living room includes a sofa and a TV. An orange too if they get hungry! The medical facilities are a vital part of our health so we made a room for that just in case of someone getting injured or sick. In our water filtration/oxygen room (basement), we have a tank for oxygen which we gain from electrolysis, a process that splits half of their waste water into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen remains in the rocket and the hydrogen is vented into space. The other half of their waste water will be filtered. In our lab, we have a piece of lunar regolith next to a magnifying glass. Our storage room is where they store necessary equipment that they need, like tools (if they need to fix anything) and many more. The workroom is the perfect place to pool useful intel that they have gathered to refine their research on stars, planets and who knows what else! One of our astronauts is studying interstellar space at the moment. It is also used to send social media updates on their research to NASA, their followers and astronomy enthusiasts, young and old. It is quite organised there so we would highly recommend the setup of this room. The radio next to the astronaut is very useful for communication too. The workshop is the ideal place for creating new things that will improve their stay in the future. Last but not least, the cockpit. This is a very important part of this project as it controls where the rocket is going. Obviously, we have air conditioners in every room to keep the oxygen flowing.
