Colonizing Venus by Terraforming Terrifying Venus

West Island College  Calgary-Alberta    Canada 14 years old   3 / 3 English Venus

Project description

In the scorching heat of Venus, a bold plan is taking shape to turn this hostile world into a livable space. Imagine a cosmic dance using huge space mirrors, arranged like onion rings, to shield Venus from intense sunlight and create a man-made ice age environment. Expanding beyond Venus, the plan involves tapping into Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, as a water source for Venus.  This celestial exchange involves sending water to Venus while depositing frozen carbon dioxide on Europa. We will have deposited cyanobacteria on Venus for the tree and plants. The ultimate goal is to use strategically placed mirrors to harness the sun’s energy, turning Venus into a bright sanctuary for plant growth. This project showcases human creativity in a cosmic spectacle where mirrors, interplanetary water movements, and solar power combine to transform Venus from a blazing furnace into a hopeful oasis. The challenge of microgravity on Venus is completely manageable because in truth Venus is very close to that of Earth’s microgravity. Food on Venus will not be an issue after the cyanobacteria is spread around the surface of the planet, seeds will be taken from earth and planted in green houses with constant light that we can control because of the energy mirrors reflecting the sun so that the temperature/energy is in our control. There is minimal radiation on Venus so it’s not going to be a large issue. It will take many thousands of years to have the plants and trees create enough oxygen for it to be breathable for human until then in order to walk outside all you will need is regular clothing and an oxygen mask. Venus has now been terraformed into a new and restored earth. Cities will be build and future generations will rewatch the recreation of their planet in awe. Would you take on the challenge of terraforming Venus?
