3.1 – How will your Moon Camp provide astronauts with sustainable access to basic needs like water, food, air and power?
Because the solar wind that illuminates the moon can break the chemical bonds between silicon, iron, and oxygen atoms in the lunar soil, so that oxygen atoms have unsaturated bonds to connect with hydrogen atoms, which indicates that every rock on the moon can be used to make water, so we will use the solar wind to make water, first our mining robots will collect rocks on the surface of the moon, and then transport them to the cabin of the machine, through a series of machine operations to obtain water resources from rocks.(94)
Food:
In the early days, astronauts will eat food brought from the earth, and when the food in the growing area is ripe, the astronauts will eat the food in the growing area, and grow vegetables and fruits in it.
Power:
Since the base is located on the moon with a long light period, we will use fuel cells to provide heat and electricity to the base during lunar nights.
Air:
We will use the melt electrolysis method to produce oxygen, which is to heat the lunar soil or rock to melt, and then electrolyze, oxygen can be released from the melt in the form of bubbles.
3.2 – How will your Moon Camp deal with the waste produced by the astronauts on the Moon?
The base has a garbage disposal area. We will classify the garbage generated by astronauts and dispose of it in different trash cans according to their type. The garbage will be compressed in the trash cans, and the compressed garbage will be transported to the storage module before being sent back to Earth for processing
3.3 – How will your Moon Camp maintain communications with Earth and other Moon bases?
In space, we rely on satellites in space to form a measurement and control network, like a “space base station”, connecting our lunar campsite and ground station, and establishing a space “heavenly path”. The voice, video, email data, and scientific experimental data between the space station and the ground all pass through this’ heavenly path ‘. On our lunar campsite, wired and wireless network cameras, wired and Bluetooth headphones, mobile phones, and laptops can all serve as network terminals. These terminals connect the collected image and voice data to the Ethernet switch in the campsite through wired or wireless Wi Fi, and transmit them to the ground through a high-speed communication processor and a relay link.
